Moving Mountains Missions

Short-term missions to Guatemala. Team projects include: Concrete Flooring crews, roofing crews, bunk bed construction, Vacation Bible School for over 400 kids, Child Sponsorship program, home visits to elderly and shut-ins, working with Cosechando Felicidad. Donations help pay for construction materials and Bible School expenses. Volunteers provide their own funding for trips. Living Waters sends a team to join this group each summer.

Ongoing Donations Needed--we will be collecting donations throughout the year for our 2017 Guatemala Mission Trip

All donations are for children ages 5 through 18

Sizes child 4 through adult medium are good.

There are only children and teens coming through the donation center.

no babies, and no adults. (Most adults there are a little over 5 ft tall, so even they cannot use bigger sizes than a medium).

Please only bring items that are new or very gently used.

Please note we have 60% boys and 40% girls in the program.

#1 Priority – Children’s shoes

Children’s sizes, from child size 8 up through adult size 6

Sneakers – both boys and girls

School-type shoes are also priority

Rubber boots – ones that fit over regular shoes **Flip flops/sandals are OK- but school shoes, rubber boots, and sneakers are top priority**

#2 Priority Children’s Clothes

Jeans –boys and girls

Shirts/tops – boys and girls

Sweatpants and jackets

Fleece jackets

Athletic wear (for gym class – wind pants – black, navy, red, or

gray – plain with no designs)

Cardigan sweaters – girls only

Underwear and socks, bras

Please NO: shorts, swimsuits, tank tops, crop-tops, skirts, dresses, winter

coats, stained or ripped clothes

Health Visits Needs

Children’s chewable vitamins (not gummy)

adult vitamins (not gummy)

Tylenol/acetaminophen (economy size)

Advil/ibuprofen (economy size)

Antacids (like Tums)

Gauze pads & Bandaids – all sizes Anti-fungal cream

Antibiotic ointment

Hand cream

School supplies

Unsharpened #2 pencils, Hand pencil sharpeners, Pens

Erasers (any size), Backpacks –small, lightweight

Toiletries – avoid large, economy sized items:

Wash cloths/hand towels (no bath towels)

Shampoo & Conditioner (small bottles/or samples)

Deodorant, Toothbrushes/Sample sized Toothpaste

Combs/hair brushes
